Thank you for considering Collins Law Office, P.A.
Robert H. Collins, Esq. graduated cum laude from Macalester College in St. Paul, Minnesota with a triple major in the areas of Political Science, Economics and Philosophy. He earned his Juris Doctorate Degree from Hamline University School of Law in 1993. In 1994, after working for a local title insurance company handling title examinations and closings, Rob joined Greig Tennis's Law Firm in Forest Lake. Greig and Rob worked together for nearly 20 years providing a wide variety of transactional services for their firm's clients. They continue to be good friends and support each other.
In 2013, Rob began his own firm, Collins Law Office, P.A., to continue to provide superior legal services and practical advice to clients in the areas of estate planning, elder law, probate, residential and commercial real estate, business, and civil mediation. Our office helps people with planned, and (often) unplanned, transitions in their lives. Our office can help with simple wills to complex trusts for estate planning and other purposes. We can assist people who have lost a loved one and need to navigate the probate process. We can help people getting into business, or transitioning in their business by creating corporations or limited liability companies, adding or removing owners, and buying or selling those companies or the assets of them. Additionally, we help many people buy or sell real estate on their own, develop real estate, create or advise owner associations, adjust boundary lines, create or modify easements, and assist with creating or terminating liens. Each year there are many families and other private parties we help buy or sell property without a real estate agent.
Since 1998, Rob has been and remains a Real Property Law Specialist, certified by the MN State Bar Association. He is also a Qualified Neutral under Rule 114 of the General Rules of Practice, which means he can act as a mediator to help parties resolve civil disputes.
Since 2017, Rob has been entrusted with the position as Deputy Examiner of Titles for Chisago County, Minnesota.
To help clients with business succession and transition planning needs, in 2018, Rob earned his CEPA, Certified Exit Planning Advisor, designation through the Exit Planning Institute.
Collins Law Office, P.A. received the 2017, 2018 and 2019 Forest Lake Times Readers' Choice Award for "Best of the Best Lawyer/Attorney."
